Reiki is a form of energy healing developed in Japan in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. The term comes from the Japanese words rei (universal) and ki (vital life force energy) and is based on the idea that a practitioner can channel this energy to a recipient to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
